The Diamond on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado
The Diamond, where Josh Wharton established a
free version of Dunn-Westbay (5.13).
As reported on climbing.com, Josh Wharton has freed a 1972 aid line, Dunn-Westbay, on the right side of the world-famous east face of Longs Peak, The Diamond. The original aid route, rated V 5.10 A3, was put up by Jimmy Dunn and Billy Westbay.

The Diamond is Colorado's most famous alpine wall, and, with the base at over 13,000 feet in elevation, it is a challenge by any route. The Diamond is home to many classic grade IV free routes, including the Casual Route (5.10a), Pervertical Sanctuary (5.10c), D7 (5.11d), and Ariana (5.12a).
